Jenne Griffin

Chief Operating Officer & Director, Southeast Region


As Chief Operating Officer & Director of the Southeast Region, Jenne Griffin is responsible for managing the overall operations of Common Impact, as well as the design and implementation of skills based volunteering programs in the southeast region.

Jenne Griffin joined Common Impact from Genworth Financial/General Electric where she held numerous positions over a decade, deeply rooted in technology and leadership. Jenne started with General Electric in their Information Management Leadership Program out of college rotating to various business segments around the world gaining experience in database development, auditing, leadership development, and application development. She then went on to be the IT leader for a small GE Capital business in Manhattan responsible for the design and implementation of the IT infrastructure and systems. After successfully completing that assignment and leading the 120 person office through an integration of the Virginia and New York offices, she relocated to Richmond, Virginia and took on a quality (process improvement) assignment. In this role Jenne and her team developed strategic partnerships with her operations counterparts to redesign, streamline, and automate various processes enabling the organization to better serve its customers. As her role expanded to include responsibility for Marketing and Sales systems, she led the first company wide, multi-million dollar, system implementation. Known for her people management skills, Jenne next took on a position as the Director for Technology, Talent management and Training for the global IT organization. In this role Jenne developed talent management practices and programs to recruit, develop, and retain top technology professionals.

Jenne holds a BS in Information Technology and Decision Support Systems from Virginia Tech where she served as the Class of 1998 President during her four years. She also holdsan MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as a GE Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
