Zachary E. Goldstein

Chief Operating Officer


imageZach Goldstein is a co-founder of Common Impact and currently serves as its Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, Zach is responsible for developing and overseeing all services for nonprofits and corporate teams, including client recruitment, evaluation and planning, project execution, and executive mentoring. He also directs the consulting team at Common Impact and plays a major role in setting strategic direction and growth strategies for the organization. He has consulted to over 100 nonprofits, spoken at numerous conferences, authored whitepapers, and developed the technology systems used internally at Common Impact.

Zach has dedicated his career to working with innovative organizations. Before Common Impact, he built his career in software design and development, including three years at Microsoft Corporation, one year at onDevice Corporation (acquired by Keynote Systems), and six years as an independent software developer for physicians. He also spent a year running an outdoor leadership program for disadvantaged youth.

In his spare time, Zach is an outdoor enthusiast, runner, hiker, cyclist, and skier. He also plays guitar and has sung tenor with the Somerville Community Chorus and the Boston Pops Holiday Chorus.

Zach earned an A.B. from Dartmouth College, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a double major in Computer Science and Psychology.
