
Steve Neff is chief information officer of Fidelity Investment Management Technology (FIMT), a unit of Fidelity Investments, the largest mutual fund company in the United States, the No. 1 provider of workplace retirement savings plans and a leading online brokerage firm. In this role, he is responsible for providing information technology solutions supporting Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMRCo), Pyramis Global Advisors, Strategic Advisers Inc., and Fidelity International Limited.
Mr. Neff joined Fidelity in 1996 as vice president of Technology Operations for FMRCo Systems. In 1998, he was named vice president of Equity Investment Management Technology. Since then, Mr. Neff served as senior vice president of Global Equity Trading Technology and senior vice president of Technology Support and Operations for FMRCo Systems. He assumed his current role in January 2005.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Neff was with Salomon Brothers in New York and London. He served in several technology management roles including vice president of Systems Support, vice president of Application Development for Salomon Brothers International Limited in London, and senior operations officer responsible for infrastructure and operations in the business technology organization in New York. Mr. Neff began his career at IBM Corporation in New York. From 1974 through 1987, he held several systems engineering and technology management positions supporting the financial services industry and the IBM marketing and service divisions.
Mr. Neff received a bachelor of arts degree in math from Rutgers College in 1974. He is married with four children.
